The CVF Performance Intercooler for 2020-2023 Ford Explorer ST is a direct fit replacement that is over two times the size of the stock unit. As the charts above indicate, during independent testing we've observed a reduction of over 85 degrees in Charge Air Temperature where it matters: on the street, and not at the dyno (the same vehicle under similar conditions for both the OEM and CVF Performance Intercooler runs).

Manufactured from top-grade aluminum, the CVF Performance Intercooler features a TIG-welded bar-and-plate design for maximum durability and fully cast end tanks to ensure maximum flow of air into the unit and out to your turbo - equaling more HP. As with all of our products, the Performance Intercooler is covered under our Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer's defects.
The Aluminum Pipe Kit expands the OEM dimensions and outflows the OEM cold-side pipe by 28% and hot-side pipes by 15%. The kit includes CVF-branded 4-ply couplers and T-Bolt clamps.

The kit came with no missing pieces and no fitment issues. I installed it by myself in an afternoon. The build quality is great. Before / after datalogs show a 57*F reduction in charge temps. That is nuts!

TLDR; Run, don’t walk to CVFab and get yourself some goodies.
I recently purchased a 2023 Ford Explorer ST in June of 2024, over 4 years after I first had the opportunity to drive one. As a lifelong gearhead, and the owner of a full bolt on, custom protuned 2017 Honda Civic Type-R, I desperately wanted to find an SUV that was fun, modifiable, and fantastic as a daily driver.
When I settled on the ST long ago, as a researcher at heart, I took a deep dive into all thing’s aftermarket—knowing I wanted the best of the best on this new build.
